The lamppost

This is my house. The single car in the foreground is parked on a paid parking lot owned by my neighbour. This means those lots are taken. Don't ever think of parking your car there even if the lots are empty.
There is a smaller house in front of my house (double storey). In that small, flat house lives my father-in-law alone.
The lamppost on the right was recently built. Before the lamppost stand, entrance to our house is pretty dark at night.
That lamppost is built by the Neighborhood Community and the utility bill is paid every month form the Neighborhood Community Collective contribution. This means the neighbors are paying the utility bill collectively, even though it is in front of our house.
On top of that, the government gives us as compensation for using that small spot JY1000 per year.

Not bad, for the money. I think to say at least they appreciate the small effort for our willingness to share the land.
