Setiap hari Ellie dibuli.

MISIA – Missing You Now
Lyrics: MISIA
Music: Jun Sasaki
Do you remember the day we first met?
I haven’t forgotten a single day that’s passed
I want to feel everything you had your eyes on
I looked up at the sky, are you there now watching over me?
Tell me…
I’m missing you now
There’s so much I want to tell you
Oh, I miss you, I miss you
I sadly long for your presence
Where are you?
Hold me
I’ll always be here
If I knew that we’d never see each other again
I would never have let go of your hand
If I had just cried and told you, “Stay with me”
Would you still be here, smiling beside me?
I’m missing you now
There’s so much I want you to hear
Oh, I miss you, I miss you
Tears flow as time just passes me by
Oh, I miss you, hold me close
I’ll always be thinking of you
Even if my destiny won’t change,
I have something to tell you
“I want to go back…”
to that day, that time, this one wish is all I need
I’m missing you now
There’s so much I want you to know
Oh, I miss you, I miss you
All I could do was wish it was all a dream
This heart of mine is still crying
I’ll always be thinking of you
Even if time fades away
Our interwoven bond will never come apart
Oh your voice
The more I go about forgetting it
The more it imprints in me.
Holding your hands tightly
And embracing you
Even though I know that those things are our impermissible fate
That smile, those tears And that earnest memory
I wanted to touch them all
From the bottom of my heart...
O endearing days,
please don't say goodbye
I want to see you, I want to see you one more time
I will keep crying out until I reach you
I will not forget, even if this body disappears
Oh the wind that blows to you,
the flowers that bloom for you
Oh the tomorrow that I chased after with you
I want to see you again
Right now, in my heart there remains
The most beautiful setting sun in the world
Oh and that eye,
Rather than uneasiness, it gleams with great hope
By just gazing into your eyes from a close distance
I knew everything about happiness
Even if sadness is awaiting on the road ahead
That wish, those words
And that single ray of light
I wanted to protect them all
Till forever...
That smile, those tears
And that earnest memory
I wanted to touch them all
From the bottom of my heart...
O endearing days, please don't say goodbye
I want to see you, I want to see you one more time
I will keep crying out until I reach you
I will not forget, even if this body disappears
Oh the wind that blows to you, the flowers that bloom for you
Oh the tomorrow that I chased after with you

As I mentioned in previous entry, this island is going to some weather transformation. The winds doesn't know which way to blow and sometime get confused over the season.
I avoid going out at this time.
Sometimes I do get stuck over plotting and story lines. I guess this is a good time to explore.
Explore for me is not going into abyss blue lagoon under the sea or struggling over thick iceberg on the Himalaya. No, those are too much suffering.
There are many novels and comic books that are adapted into drama series and anime in Japan. Some of these novels are historical and some educational. Mostly those novel adapted in movies are block-busters and written by famous writers.
I will write down some of the movies and anime as we go along. Such a waste to let people out of Japan to be ignored.
If you see the screen up there, the title is Karigurashi no Arriety or Arriety-The Borrower.
This animation is from Gibli Studio which made Tonari no Totoro.
The story is about a community of small people living underground. They survive by borrowing (actually taking) food from houses like lump of sugar or tissue papers. They cleverly hide but live peacefully without betraying their existence in this world.
I was studying the screen. I see every grass and how the winds blow those flowers, nature brought out so real and alive, though just anime or graphic drawing. One can never compare the talent of those graphic artists from Gibli Studio.
Have you heard any song without lyric?
Yet again have you heard song without lyric being sang with evergreen vitality without losing its initial novelty?
This song did.
No lyric since its arrival in 1960 but is still demanded.
Somewhere along the line, somebody did suggest lyric to go with it but the emptiness of the song without word is much more mysterious somehow.
So the song remains just ru, ru, ru.
Me o tojite nani mo miezu

Close your eyes you see nothing

Let your eyes open during sadness

The Red and White Song Contest for 2011 saw many songs related to those places affected by the Earthquake/Tsunami of the north region of Japan that happened on 11 March 2011. Those songs are heart-wrenching calling for love ones or family members or wishing to go home (to a place that is non-existent now).
Most of these songs are written ages before the tragedy happened. If not for the mention of places in the north, these songs would have been just another song.
Take this song. It mentions the Tsugaru Straits in the north that was badly damaged during the strong quake and the deadly tsunami.
I took some time to translate this song. Thinking it might be an item for the next karaoke session.
*Please be kind to mention [Translation by LEYLA SHURI] if ever you think of copy pasting my translation*
Ueno hatsu no yakouressha orita toki kara
Getting off from Ueno last train
Aomori eki wa yuki no naka
In the snow of Aomori station
Kita e kaeru hito no mure wa dare mo mukuchi de
Groups of people going back to the north are all silent
Uminari dake wo kiiteiru
Hearing only the rumble of the sea
Watashi mo hitori renrakusen ni nori
Alone taking the connecting line
Kogoesou na kamome mitsume naiteimashita
The cries of frozen sea-gulls that gaze blankly
Ah , Tsugaru kaikyou fuyu geshiki
Ah, winter scene of Tsugaru Straits
Goran are ga tappimisaki kita no hazure to
Look at the north winds at the edge of the cape
Mishiranu hito ga yubi wo sasu
People watching pointing fingers
Iki de kumoru mado no garasu (glass) fuite mita kedo
Clearing my breathe from the window glass
Haruka ni kasumi mieru dake
Only seeing mist from the distant
Sayonara anata watashi wa kaerimasu
Goodbye darling, l’m returning
Kaze no oto ga mune wo yusuru, nake to bakari ni
The sound of winds filling my chest, only makes me feel like crying
Ah , Tsugaru kaikyou fuyu geshiki
Ah, winter scene of Tsugaru Straits (repeat)
Spring seems so stubborn. The sky this morning is still grey. Mr. Sun is still hibernating in heaven's cave. I put on this song to lighten up my mood. When my blood got heated up I sing along and danced with it. Hubby walked in the room saying his next meeting will be at the end of this month. I said, "Ok. please put it in the ice-box!" And continue dancing...la, la, la...
Mizuki Shigeru came home with only one arm after the war. Japan economy was at its lowest after the war with high unemployment. With only one arm and what with the bad economy, Shigeru used his only talent to live. Drawing cartoon.
A few years when the war ended, he sold his cartoon to a small printing company. But his comic books did not sell well. His family lived a very poor life. The electric to his house was cut off due to unpaid bills. They eat very ripe bananas (almost black), to survive the hard life. NHK is showing this drama now, GEGEGE Nyobou or Gegege's wife. The drama recalls the cartoonist life as recollected by his wife.
Shigeru break came when his talent was found by a friend who owned a printing company. Then, after several issues of his mangga, a well-known comic book company found his work. At first, Shigeru was asked to produce sci-fi cartoons but he rejected this offer because he feels his talent was not in sci-fi. Then, Shigeru was approached again and this time he was given his choice of any comic. He agreed but the printing company gave him one condition. That he must also produce his mangga (comic story) for the TV company. That was the beginning of GEGEGE KITARO on television.
Shigeru already have a theme to his mangga. All the characters in the mangga are ghosts. His comic ghosts are the One-Eye Cup baby, the flying carpet ghost but the heroes among the ghosts is the One-Eye boy named Kitaro.
There was no turning back after his first mangga came on the first comic book followed by series program on television.
To make story short, Shigeru is now a very rich man. Selling his mangga on television, mangga magazine and they even make video games out of it!

I was doing some editing right into the night. Outside, in the breezy summer night, I can heard the night frog calling. There is some kind of rhythm to the call. Then, I remember another call. A call to sing.
Night frog lullaby Kanashi koto* in blue the moon chorus too.
One of my sister-in-laws is obese or over-weight. Recently I saw her and noticed she has greatly reduced her size. I commented on this to her and she said she has to reduce her weight as she is going along with the government. The government, I questioned back, why the government? She said the government is following her progress. Every couple of weeks, health officers called her and take note of her weight. If her weight does not improve, she would have to come for the training, two or three times a week. She doesn't want to be at the training center, so she is doing the dieting seriously.
Another friend's husband was a heavy drinker. The yearly check-up found him to suffer from diabetes. This man is healthy but he was warded for two months. While in hospital for two months, he was fed with calories-counting meals and did a tight training to reduce his weight. After that two months, the diabetes problem disappeared and he's weight went down 12kg. He was given a warning. If the diabetes come back, he would be hospitalized again. Oh no, he will not go into that torture chamber again and watch his weight carefully thereafter and of course the drinking is out.
Last year, my husband waist-line was 98 cm. The hospital grouped him as having the metabolic syndrome. He must reduced it to 85 cm. Now, he is at 90cm and still trying.
One of my haiku friends had blood pressure reading at 145/85. Over 140/80 is a bad warning in Japan. So, this friend now have to do training 3 times a week to bring that pressure down. She is monitored. She is given a health card and writes down everything she eats and the hours she work-out.
Touch life if you are obese, diabetic and suffering from high-blood pressure in Japan.
The video above is my collection (actually for me to practice karaoke). Hubby asked me why I put up such difficult song. Well, this is my blog and I put up the songs that I like/fancy. People out there can put up whatever songs they like on their own blog. Excuse me!

PAGI SEMERAH DAUN MOMIJI
Ikhlas." Bagaimanakah akhirnya kehidupan seorang askar Jepun, Masatoshi yang ditinggalkan di Kelantan setelah tentera Jepun berundur.
