Telefon dinding

Semalam tarikh 11 Disember 2013. Bila direnungkan nombornya yang bersekuans, 11.12.13, macam menarik je, macam cantik je (entah apa trend di Malaysia, saya dapati ramai yang guna ayat begini di Facebook).

Ini ialah telefon dinding yang digunakan orang-orang di Jepun pada tahun 1922 hingga digantikan dengan model-model lain selepas itu.
Saya merujuk kepada model telefon ini dalam garafan novel Pagi Semerah Daun Momiji.

"Following Kyoto, the common-battery system was adopted in Tokyo, Osaka and part of Nagoya in the forty-second year of the Meiji Period(1909). By that time, deteriorating line insulation had been overcome by the development of enamel wires, and until 1922, one system after another was replaced by the common-battery system. No.2 common-battery telephone was the first domestic common-battery telephone."
