Tatkala bahasa terpinggir...

Saya terdiam. Mengeluh dalam batin.
Jengkel betul. Benci bukan kepada peserta itu. Jengkel kepada sikap orang Malaysia.

Orang Malaysia rugi betul.

Mana hilangnya maruah orang Malaysia sehingga begini tanggapan anak-anak muda dari negara lain.

Universiti Ryukyu di pulau ini mengadakan kelas bahasa Thai, kelas bahasa Indonesia, kelas bahasa Cina, kelas bahasa Sepanyol, kelas bahasa Perancis tapi tak ada kelas bahasa Melayu.

Agaknya pihak Malaysia sendiri memandang BM tidak penting.
Mana salahnya kita?

Tatkala pembangkang menang...09/09/09

Parti buli dah menang...

Kenapa Otto? saya tanya. Pelik rasanya...
Otto kata entahlah...
Cerita habis di sini.

Parti bangkang tak perlu bangkang lagi.
Apahal dengan senario politik Jepun?
Entahlah...

Opera hit Japan tyme

As I am knocking this keyboard, I heard this song in the background. I like to put on the FM while doing my work. This song has been playing on and on for the past couple of weeks in Japan. But this week, it hit the top chart for popular songs in Japan. I feel this is so strange. Hear the song than you might agree with me.

First, the lyric is English and Italian. Most Japanese people don't speak or understand both these languages.
Same thing goes for me. I like this song but I only understand the English lines.
I have not been inside a hall that is fully furnished with every kinds of musical instrument. But I know my heart will burst with excitement listening to this song in Albert Hall (maybe die on the spot, my poor heart is weak now).
By the way, the male singer, Andrea Bocelli is blind.

Have you ever seen such handsome blind person with such gifted voice? Masya-Allah, I am melting in this bright moon of Ramadhan.

ps: how strange the effect of full moon have on people. Some see wolf in themselves but I see beauty in other people while the magical power of the moon ray showers me.

Free IPHONE tyme

Softbank the main carrier for IPhone 8GB is giving it away for free. This campaign will end in September 2009.

Free? Yes, free!

Well, not really free. There is a tag! There is a monthly charge of ¥980 for a period of 24 months. That means the equipment is actually selling at US$215 for a spread time of 2 years.

Some of you may salivate after knowing this really cheap offer.
But still I'm not buying.
Why? After all most of my communication (written or spoken) are using broadband. This should be oh so, so very good for me.
Oh no!
The SIM card is locked. Let's say I buy IPhone in Japan, I still cannot use foreign SIM card (to replace the Softbank SIM card). Instead, I have to use the roaming service (same as any other mobile phones) when not in Japan.

Until the carrier unlock the SIM card slot, then only I'll get IPHONE . I can wait. I am good at waiting.

Tatkala hidup berbenih...

(Inochi ga mono dane) When there is life, there is hope.

This is a Japanese proverb.

Go over it in Bahasa and it sounds: Hidupan itu benda berbenih.

Hidup kita ini sesuatu yang berbenih. Orang Jepun kata begitu.

Inochi koso/ imodane yo mata/ kyou no tsuki

Yang bermaksud:

Kentang bertunas/
hidup itu berbenih/
bak sang purnama

Trashing out tyme

Other than having less time to blog-hop nowadays, the write-up below is another reason why I don't visit blogs anymore.
Once my firewall (which is set to very high), annouces that your blog is a high security risk, you are out of my reading list. Maybe for a trial period of 2 months.
But if the same problem persist, your blog will be categorised as history.

So please, I beg blog-writers, make sure you keep your site save for reading visitors. That is, if you want that high visitors stats. But if high visitors stats is not your type, you are free to let online threats hang on your sites that eventually will slow down your pc performance and delete all files (including photos) from your hard drive.

Not only do I keep a high security firewall. I set my email box to trash all forwarded mails,
multi-receipients mails,
mails without my name,
mails wiithout the senders name,
mails with weird attachments,
mails with invitation to become friends,
and chain letters mails.

I keep my mails (have several mail addresses for different functions) guarded tightly and never display them freely.

So, don't mind me, if I stop reading your writings. Maybe the problem is from your own pc!

Reuters - Tuesday, August 25

Biel, 27, who shot to fame in the TV show "7th Heaven" and most recently starred in "Easy Virtue," was deemed the most dangerous, with fans having a one-in-five chance of landing at a website that has tested positive for online threats, such as spyware, adware, spam, phishing, and viruses.

"Cybercriminals are star watchers too - they latch onto popular celebrities to encourage the download of malicious software in disguise," McAfee's Jeff Green said in a statement.

"Consumers' obsession with celebrity news and culture is harmless in theory, but one bad download can cause a lot of damage to a computer."

"Every day, cybercriminals use celebrities' names and images, like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna, to lure surfers searching for the latest stories, screen savers and ringtones to sites offering free downloads laden with malware," the statement added.

Coming second in the list for the second year running was pop star Beyonce, with McAfee finding that putting "Beyonce ringtones" into a search engine yielded a dangerous website linking to a distributor of adware and spyware.

Tatkala belulang berkasar...

Semalam saya selak-selak sebuah majalah terbitan Malaysia (tak perlu namakan) dan membuat kiraan.
Menjaga kecantikan tapak kaki.

Yang diperlukan:
Pembasuh lawan kuman RM15
Pembuang kalus RM30
Krim RM18
Krim pelembut RM18
Spray lawan kuman RM13
Semua campur RM94.

Mencantikan tapak kaki perlu siapkan RM94!

Pertama sekali...sebelum mandi siapkan bangku. Bawa bangku ini bersama ke kamar mandi.

Penuhkan air panas suam dan rendam kedua-dua belah kaki selama 10 minit. Sambil menunggu, basuhlah rambut dll. Itulah sebab saya kata bawa bangku.

Dah. Itu sahaja. Jangan lupa masukkan RM94 ke tabung anak-anak yatim ye!

YES. Itu SAHAJA.

Keluar kamar mandi, sapukan krim pelembut kulit (baby losen pun jadilah) pada tapak sehingga ke betis. Sebelum tidur, selepas bersihkan kaki (sebelum tidur bersihkan kaki!), sapukan krim pelembut dan guna stokin. Kalau stokin rasa rimas, sejam pun cukup.

Luka terbuka begini mengundang jangkitan kulit seperti kurap.

Lain kali saya beri lagi tip mencantikkan badan (tak janji).

Tanka Darma Mohammad

Tanka dibawa tersiar dalam Majalah PEREMPUAN, Ogos 2009

2. Naratif ringkas Tanka berkenaan :-

[1]
Hirisan zaitun dimakan selepas menunai solat Subuh. Zaitun
bukan sahaja didapati di negeri asal tumbuhnya, malah di mana-
mana sahaja di dunia ini. Perkenalan dan silaturahim terjalin
antara manusia melalui memakan buah zaitun itu.

[2]

keredaan Ilahi.

Tatkala bimasakti mengalir...

Bimasakti-Amanogawa (kata musim luruh)

Araumi ya/ Sado ni yakotau/ amanogawa
Sang Bimasakti/ merentas Pulau Sado/laut gelora
(Sado: Sadogashima= Sado Island)
***********
Saya mempersoalkan kewujudan sungai bimasakti.
Tapi...
Terbukti sudah! (Lihat laporan di bawah)
Memang ada sungai bimasakti. Bashou bukan berkhayal.

Perseid meteor showers heading your way

The night sky will sparkle with "falling stars" on Tuesday and Wednesday as Earth passes through a trail of dusty debris from the Swift-Tuttle Comet, say scientists.
The light show, called the Perseid meteor shower, kicks off each year in late-July and increases in intensity, peaking a couple of weeks later.
The Perseids occur when Earth runs into a trail of dust and pebbles deposited by the comet Swift-Tuttle in its 130-year orbit around the Sun.

This debris strikes the upper atmosphere at around 60 kilometers (37 miles) per second, a speed that causes it to burn up into a white-hot streaks. Bigger chunks can be seen as fireballs.

Meteor showers vary from year to year, depending on the amount of debris.

In the early 1990s, there were several spectacular Perseid shows, with bursts of several hundred meteors per hour.

Meteors are named after the constellation from which they seem to appear -- in this case, Perseus, a northern constellation lying east of Cassiopeia and north of Taurus.

The light show, called the Perseid meteor shower, kicks off each year in late-July and increases in intensity, peaking a couple of weeks later.

On a clear night in a dark sky "you should see dozens of meteors per hour," notes Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office.

East Asia is best placed to see the shower at its most intense moment, which is predicted for 1800 GMT on August 12, according to the US publication Sky and Telescope (skyandtelescope.com).

The meteors are also active for many days before and after this date, though the light reflected by a waning quarter moon may obstruct the view somewhat.

Hujan cambah Karya Darma Mohammad

Puisi (bentuk: haiku) bertajuk HUJAN CAMBAH, siaran DEWAN MASYARAKAT (terbitan DBP), Ogos 2009.

[i]

Bila hadir dua unsur serentak iaitu hujan (air) dan panas (cahaya),
maka terbitlah pelangi.
Tafsirakanlah!

[ii]

Tahniah Sdr Darma Mohammad. Sekali lagi haiku Melayu berjaya menyisip pembaca di Malaysia.

Massive terror tyme USA-style

Back in history 64 years ago. Exactly Aug. 6, 1945.
A visit drop by Little Boy that carried an explosive that yeild 15000 tons of TNT.

After the visit, 90,000 people varnished from the earth's face just by one second. A month later another 145,000 lives gone.

See the video. I only see it once. I cannot see it the second round. I don't dare, too scary for my small heart.

"A bomb can now be manufactured which will be 25000 times as powerful as that which destroyed Hiroshima." - Betrand Russell

Hopefully what Clinton did today, going all the way to N-K, will benefit all mankind.
Hopefully, that communis:t country will stop its nuclear activity.
Hopefully, when we die, we die peacefully...
Hopefully...

Umeboshi-making tyme

For my home-made umeboshi (dried plum), I used the items below. The quantity is all up to you, but this is my measurement.

I use:

10 kilograms fresh-plucked Japanese apricot (ume/ bahasa Melayu word not invented yet). Abundant only during apricot season.

2 bottles of leek vinegar (leek bahasa Melayu...not invented yet)

1 pack of red shisou leaf (beefsteak leaf/ bahasa Melayu...not invented yet)

With lots of sunshine and patience.

Step one: Pick off stalks from base of apricots. Wash and drain water well.

::::::::::::::

Step 2: Pour 2 bottles of leek vinegar and mix well. Hands should be cleaned with vinegar before mixing. Mix with shishou leaves here.

::::::::::::::::

Steps 3: Weight down with 10kg stones. Weighing stone and the base must be cleaned with vinegar first.

:::::::::::

Step 4: Leave in cool (below 26c) place for 2 weeks. If bubbles and white particles appear, pour more vinegar and mix again with vinegared-covered hands.

:::::::::::

Step 5: After 2 weeks, pick all fruits and arrange on filter to dry. Keep the vinegar.

This vinegar makes sore throat better, prevents bad breathe, creates appetite, balances the acid/alkaline level in intestional tract.

I use it for salad dressing and cooking. Whenever I feel tired, I drink about 5 tablespoon directly.

See the link I attached below for more info.

::::::::::::::::

Step 6: Cover friuts from flies and insect and put in very hot sun for 2 days or until fruits really dry up.

:::::::::::::::::::

Step 7: Keep fruits in air-tight jar. Keep in cool place. Eat anytime you like.

Another information about umeboshi: Bacteria cannot penetrate it!

Tatkala tahi gigi kering...

Ini Ai Miyazato. Anak tulin Okinawa. Dia menang Pertandingan Wanita Golf Evian Masters semalam. Yang peliknya Otto. Tak habis-habis dia menatap permainan budak ini (sama umur anak sulung). Dari satu berita sehingga berita lain. Berita yang sama diulang-ulang. Pelik betul.
Wah, bukan main gembira ria betul orang-orang kampung dia. Nenek dan datuk tua yang dah kerepot umur 70, 80, 90 joget-joget beramai-ramai. Berpimpin tangan, berpusing-pusing kesukaan.
Mendapat tempat pertama, budak Ai ini dapat bawa balik seguni duit sebanyak US$487,500.
Datuk bandar Higashi-son tersenyum sampai kekeringan tahi gigi. Nak tahu kenapa?

Sekarang dah tahu kan kenapa datuk bandar tersenyum sampai tahi gigi kering?

Solar eclipse-tyme

The sun is covered about 30% as I am writing this. The whole sun will be covered in about 50 mins time. It will pass through Kikai island south of Japan, north of Okinawa island chains. The last solar eclipse was 46 years ago. After calculations, the next solar eclipse might pass over Tokyo in 26 year's time.

The sky up my head is dark suddenly. I thought it might rain but it's the side-effect of the moon slowly covering the sun.

If you guys in Malaysia get this message now, go out and check the sun immediately.
Maybe make solat dhuha or solat sunat matahari gerhana.

Time: 11.30 am- The moon cover the sun completely. NHK is making a live view of the whole event. Kikai island is covered in darkness. The temperature drops 4c. All the star admirers coming in from around world are gathered and all pointing their giants scope towards the sky. The people on Kikai islands are outside their houses. The people in my neigbourhood are hanging out on the street. We just want to be a part of this great phenomena. The sun is covered for 6 minutes only. The whole sky is dark.
Tomo said all teachers stopped the classes in campus and they went to the ground outside to witness the show of the universe.

Subhana-Allah!

Sa..Sa..Eisa-tyme

Mirukumunari

The Summer school holiday started yesterday. Of course, I didn't know about it but when I see many children on the street with their bikes burning in the hot sun, I can guess as well. 40 beautiful days for these children. 40 days of harassful time for their mothers.
Also, this sound , the taiko drum is heard every eveniing around the corner in my neighbourhood. I think these people are doing their practise for various upcoming festivals, again I'm no sure what festivals.
If you hear the video up there, you can feel the beat of Okinawa. You can't help it. Everytime I hear this taiko drum, the adrenalin level shoot. Actually, the singer sings in Okinawa dialect. Don't request for translation of it, my head feels too overload right now and I don't want to include Okinawa dialect or any other foreign languages, for that matter.

Friends or people who have ever step on this island, be aware. After you hear this beat, you will cry for this island again!
